COHOES Catherine “Kay” Beaulac, 86, of 1st St. entered into eternal life Monday, February 22, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Martell Sherlock. She was educated in Somerville, MA and moved to this area in 1952. Kay worked for many years for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and prior to that had been employed at the Cohoes Hospital.
Kay had been a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church in Cohoes and was active in their Mother’s Club as well as being an assistant Brownie Troop Leader. Always a sports enthusiast, she enjoyed bowling and watching her teams, the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. However, her favorite teams were always those that her grandchildren played on. She closely followed their sporting careers and will always remain their biggest fan.
Kay was the beloved wife of 67 years of Leon R. Beaulac; the loving mother of Robert L. Beaulac, Paul J. Beaulac and Patricia A. Brown (late Brian) all of Cohoes; the sister of the late William L. Everson and Shirley M. Cotto. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Rosemary, Timothy, Brittany L., Samantha, James, Mathew, Brittany A. and Marisa; by her great grandchildren, Maci Rae, Brayden Hunter and Arya; by her step great grandson, Deklan as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home from 3- 4:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Masks will be required and social distancing and occupancy regulations observed.
