Obituary for Edward J. Penders

Malta Edward J. Penders, - Edward J. Penders, 76, of Rockrose Way passed away at his residence on Wednesday January 2, 2019. Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late John and Mary Gunther Penders.

Ed graduated from Heatly High School in Green Island and was employed as a fork lift operator with Bendix in Green Island. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion, Post #927 in Green Island and also a member of the the VFW Post #729 in Watervliet. In his pastime, Ed was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his nieces, Janet (Mark) Yager, Christiana Coleman, Lorrie (Bill) Shilling and nephew Richard (Kim) Ellison. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary V. Ellison and Charlotte Coleman.

A graveside service will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford, Monday morning, January 7, 2019 at 10:30 with Reverend Donald Bourgeois officiating.
