Obituary for Eileen C. Jensen (Doty)
COHOES Eileen C. Jensen, 89, passed away peacefully with her loving niece, Carol, by her side on Friday, January 1, 2021 at the Eddy Village Green, House #4.
Born and educated in Cohoes, Eileen was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Keefe) Doty and wife of the late Neils M. Jensen.
Eileen and Neils loved to take trips to Lake George and Lake Placid with their nieces and nephews. They attended church every Sunday at the former St. Bernard’s Parish in Cohoes.
Eileen enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.
Eileen was a supervisor at the former Barclay Home Products in Cohoes and then a supervisor of the Rewind Dept. at Macaran Printed Products in Cohoes from which she retired.
Eileen is survived by her siblings, Mary (late Charles) Abbott, Dorothy (William) Taylor and William (Dawn) Doty. She is survived by her niece, Carol (late Paul) Bullock who was like a daughter to Eileen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eileen was predeceased by her siblings, Rev. Harold Doty, Lillian Taylor, Shirley Doty and Joseph Doty.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Eddy Village Green, House #4 for their care of Eileen over the last several years, especially Karen Laferriere who was always so kind to Eileen.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes
Relatives and friends may visit from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service.
Masks will be required and social distancing and occupancy regulations observed.
