Obituary for Eugene F. Midura
COHOES Eugene F. Midura, 86, entered into eternal life Tuesday, February 22, 2022 after a long illness.
Eugene was born in Poland and moved to the US in the 1960’s. He had been employed at Honeywell (formerly Bendix Corp.) in Green Island for many years until his retirement. Prior to that he had worked at the Watervliet Arsenal and Ford Motor Co. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Cohoes and also belonged to the PNA Club.
Always personable, outgoing and generous, Eugene was truly loved by everyone. He was known for his signature Hawaiian Shirts and ties. He loved flowers, plants and his aquariums. He will be remembered as a hardworking, strong man with a great sense of humor and the spirit of a fighter.
Eugene is survived by his children, Eugene F. Midura II, Mark A. Midura and Barbara Midura (Jon Scuderi); his grandchildren, Eugene, Ashley and Clarissa as well as his great grandchildren, Blake and Paislee. He is also survived by his sister as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m.
