Obituary for Eva R. Yerry
Waterford Eva R. Yerry, - Eva R. "Jean" Yerry, 75, of Hudson River Rd passed away peacefully on Thursday March 7, 2019 at Samaritan Hospital embraced by her loving family. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie Crowmer Pratt and wife of the late Richard F Yerry.
Jean was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Troy High School. She was employed as a deli clerk with Hannaford in Lansingburgh. Prior to that, she worked for various Stewart Shops and the Watervliet Arsenal. With her husband, she was the co-owner of Convenient Food Mart on Northern Boulevard in Troy. Jean was dedicated to her family and home and was a doting and loving grandmother. Jean also enjoyed Bingo. She was the founding member and dedicated supported of REDCAP.
She is survived by her sons; Richard T. (Darlene) Yerry of Nassau, Ronald A. (Cher) Yerry of Cohoes and Robert P. (Carrie) of Troy, brothers; Jack Crowmer and Bill(Sonya) Crowmer, her significant other, Benton Wolf, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Cathy Benson, Marcia Scaffer, Marty Pratt and Patti Holman.
A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd 105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes Saturday morning, March 9 at 10:30 with Reverend Nick TeBordo officiating.
Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9:00- 10:30 prior to the service.
