Cohoes F. Gary Booper Yando, - F. Gary "Booper" Yando, IV, 59, of Manor Ave, Cohoes passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, January 27, 2019 embraced by his loving family. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Francis and Shirley Pender Yando, III. and the beloved husband of Lori A. Hatz Yando.

Gary attended Troy High School and was self employed contractor as a professional painter. Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid Giants fan, a talented craftsman who enjoyed making furniture and was a jack of all trades.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Craig (Danielle) Guild of Cohoes, Gary (Jessica) Yando, V. of Clifton Park, his daughter Cayleigh A. (Morgan) Lightstone of Cohoes and his five grandchildren; Erin, Rylee, Elliot, Jenna and Keira; his siblings Dawn (John) Siebles, Diane (Ron) Gardner, Nicholas (Nora) Yando, Anthony (Misty) Yando. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Patricia Hatz, brother-in-law Michael Hatz, his sister-in-laws Kimberly Alberti and Sandra (Dan) Dougherty and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 9 am.

Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Waterford.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
