HALFMOON Franklin J. Valigorsky, 71, of Beach Rd. entered into eternal life Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at his residence.
Born and educated in Cohoes, Frank was the son of the late Bernard and Viola Michalski Valigorsky. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Frank was a former employee of the Norton Company in Watervliet and later he worked for most of his life at Albany International (formerly Albany Felt) until his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Cohoes, a member of the PNA in Cohoes and a former member of the American Legion Post 476.
Frank is survived by his sister, Patricia Tetrault of Latham; his dear brother in law, James Tetrault; his sister, Pamela Fitch of Mechanicville as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bernard Valigorsky, Jr and by his brother in law, Charles Fitch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 4, 2020 at 9 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 20 Page Ave., Cohoes. Interment will follow with military honors at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Cohoes.
