Proud of her Polish/Ukrainian heritage, she was a lifelong dedicated member of St. Michael's Church, a member of the Rosary Society for 58 years and boastful of graduating in the first 8th grade class in the church hall at St. Michael's School.

Helen was a talented seamstress, knitter, quilter and cook. Among her special gifts were her Christmas walnut torte, her coleslaw, pierogi, golumbki and pysanky Easter eggs.

The family is grateful to Danuta and Shaquana for their compassionate care and friendship over the past 3 years. Babcie was revered and loved by many, especially her friend and "adopted daughter," Doris Vojnar.
