Obituary for Jacqueline A. Bolaski

COHOES Jacqueline A. Bolaski, 93 years young, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Jackie was born on December 9, 1928 to Edward P. and Mildred Moquin and lived in Cohoes all of her life. On April 12, 1953, she married Leo Bolaski, and they were together until his passing in 2006. Jackie was employed at S.S. Kresge in Cohoes in her youth, and also worked for the State of New York. Jackie worked for JC Penney in Latham later on but was home for her children when they were young.

Jackie is survived by her loyal, loving children, David Bolaski of Cohoes, Edward Bolaski of Cohoes and Rosanne Hoag and her husband Jason of Brunswick.

On Aug. 5, 1991, Jackie became “Grandma Jackie” and the best times of her life began. Grandma Jackie provided love, care and wisdom for Alyssa (Ryan) Potyrala, Brianna (Brad) Adams and Cassie (Kyle) Bolaski. The priceless memories of Grandma include the First Friday lunches at Pizza Hut or Friendly’s with many friends joining.

Jackie is also survived by her great grandchildren, Leo and Aubrey Potyrala and her expected baby Adams to be born in January; her daughter in law, Joanne Bolaski and many nieces and nephews including her niece, Crystal (Scott) Johnston whose weekly phone calls were always appreciated.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Wade and many family and friends whom she loved.

Jackie wished to thank her dear friend, Dr. Arbind Kumar for his care through the years, Dr. Joseph Roglieri, Dr. Darshan Arora, Dr. Salvatore Galluzzo, Dr. Constantino and John Harrington for bringing her Holy Eucharist.

There are no words to thank all our friends at Rubin Dialysis Center for their love and care the past seven years. Your compassion will never be forgotten.

A graveside service will be held for Jackie, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waterford. At Jackie’s request there will be no public viewing hours.

Jackie asked for no flowers and would like anyone who wishes to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105
