Obituary for John R. Van Buskirk
Cohoes John R. Van Buskirk, - John R. Van Buskirk, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 18, 2018 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes. Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Howard J. and Rose Betourney Van Buskirk.
John was educated in the Cohoes schools and was a proud WW II United States Navy Veteran. He was employed as a security guard for Bendix in Green Island for many years.
He is survived by many dear family members and was predeceased by his brothers, James E. and Howard "Bud" Van Buskirk.
Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd, 105 Vliet Blvd Cohoes NY 12047 Wednesday morning, November 21 at 8:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Church of the Holy Trinity Wednesday morning at 9:00.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-6 pm.
