Obituary for Kathleen M. "Kitch" Maloney (Hayden)
COHOES Kathleen (Kitch) Hayden Maloney, 78, crossed over to a better place on November 2, 2020.
Born in Troy, Kitch was the daughter of the late Timothy J. and Olive Senecal Hayden. She lived in Cohoes for most of her life and was a graduate of St. Agnes School and the former Keveny Memorial Academy.
Kitch is survived by daughters Erin (Craig) Shuholm, Kristin Peterson, Kara (Bob) Scott, and Shaelah Linquist as well as her eight grandchildren- Olivia and Blake Shuholm, Gillian and Hayden Peterson, Samantha and Rob Scott, Alyssa and Shannon Linquist. She was also predeceased by Mary and Monica Hayden and Frank McAteer, all special people in her life.
After her children were in school Kitch went to work as a medical biller, working for several local doctors offices, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed vacationing at Loon Lake and traveling with her friends and especially enjoyed visiting with her family.
At her request, calling hours will be Friday, November 13, 2020 from 11am-1pm at Stanton-Farrell Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes, NY 12047.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the homeless or local food banks in the Capital District in her memory.
A Celebration of Kitchie’s life will take place in the Spring of 2021.
