Obituary for Kenneth J. Squadere Sr.

Glenville Kenneth J. Squadere, Sr., - Kenneth J. Squadere, Sr, of Hetcheltown Rd, passed away at his residence on Friday December 7, 2018. Born in Watervliet, he was the son of the late Alfonse A. and Lena M. Huneau Squadere.

Affectingly know as “Ken the Barber” he was educated in the Cohoes schools and was a veteran of the United States Army. Ken was self employed as a barber in Albany. He enjoyed fishing, Saratoga Race Track and riding his Harley.

Ken is survived by his children; Kenneth J. (Lisa) Squadere, Jr of Glenville, Miriam J. (Leon) McBride of Schenectady and Marlo J. (C.J.) Squadere of Schenectady, brother, Thomas Bourdeau, grandchildren, Amanda, Alicia, Christina, Melissa, step grandchildren, David and Dylan, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Miriam J. Brisbois Squadere, brothers Lawrence Squadere and Jack Bourdeau and his step children, Stephanie and Michael.

Burial with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 11, in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 11:00, all are invited to attend.

There will be a celebration of Ken’s life to be held at the West Albany Fire Company #2 on Tuesday December 11 from 2-6 p.m.
