Obituary for Lillian A. Kane (Beauchamp)

COHOES Lillian A. Kane, 81, of Richmond St. died peacefully Monday, March 21, 2022 at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Annie Ling Beauchamp and wife of the late William E. Kane, Sr.

Lillian moved to Cohoes in 1949, attended Cohoes schools and raised her family in the Orchard and Bunker Hill neighborhoods of the city. She had been employed as a key punch operator for DMV in Albany and more recently as a teller for Hudson River Community Credit Union in Cohoes.

Lillian was always active in the Cohoes Waterford Elks Lodge #1317 serving as Past President of the Ladies’ Auxiliary. She also enjoyed bowling and camping with her family in Saratoga.

Lillian is survived by her loving children, William E. Kane, Jr. (Kelly) of Florida, Michael P. Kane of Cohoes and Daniel P. Kane (Joan Edwards) of San Diego, CA; her beloved grandchildren, Mallorie, Patrick and Sean Kane as well as her sister, Lise Poolet of Latham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Trinity, 122 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes. At her request there will be no public viewing hours.
