Obituary for Patricia A. McGee

Latham Patricia A. McGee, - Patricia Ann McGee, 83, known to family and close friends as "Patsy", passed from this life into the arms of Our Lord on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation in Castleton-on-the-Hudson, New York. Patsy, daughter of late Charles Mariano, Martha Matson, and step-father Russel Matson, was born September 14, 1935 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Hazelton High School in 1953.

In June 1957, Patsy was united in holy matrimony to Robert McGee, also of Hazleton, Pennsylvania. This union was blessed with four children. The McGee's moved to Middletown, New York briefly before settling in Port Jervis, New York where Patsy served as a past President of the St. Mary School Parents' Association. Later, Patsy was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham, New York and served as President of the St. Ambrose Church Social Committee and a member of St. Ambrose Young-at-Heart.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother Patsy enjoyed playing the piano, and was an avid doll collector.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband Robert, known as "Bobby", of 61 years as well as her 4 sons: Keith McGee and his wife Karen of Old Bridge, NJ; Darren McGee of Clifton Park, NY; Shawn McGee and his wife Tammy of Troy, NY and Patrick McGee and his wife Mary Ann of Latham, NY. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her 6 loving grandchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Anthony Matson of Spring, Texas.

Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd 105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes Wednesday morning, December 5 at 8:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church Wednesday morning at 9:00.

Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
