Obituary for Robert M. Blair
COHOES Robert M. Blair, 61, formerly of Garner St. passed away peacefully Thursday, January 19, 2023 at VanRensselaer Manor.
Born in Cohoes, Bob was a lifelong resident of the city. He was the son of the late Gerald and Mary Coutu Blair. He graduated from Cohoes High School and went on to proudly serve in the US Navy for 10 years and then was in the US Army Reserves.
Robert is survived by his sisters, Jo Ann Blair, Margaret Josey (late William Josey) and Julie DeFruscio (Mark DeFruscio) as well as his niece and nephews, Adam DeFruscio, Patrick DeFruscio, Nikki DeFruscio, Blair Josey and Nicholas Kalinowski. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews who he loved with all his heart, Mark, Natalie, Julie May, Jackson and Parker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 12 p.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford where Robert will be laid to rest with military honors.
