LOUDONVILLE Robert J. Daley, 75, of Dogwood Ln. died suddenly Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 at his residence. Born in Louisville, KY he was the son of the late James Daley and Ruth Reilly Waters.
Bob graduated from CCHS and received his Bachelor’s degree from Siena College. He served honorably as an officer in the US Army and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Returning home, he became a teacher at the former Immaculate Conception School in Schenectady. He went on to work as a safety officer for the US Postal Service in Albany for over 30 years.
Bob was a member of American Legion Post #1520 in Albany. In his earlier years, he excelled as an athlete playing both football and baseball. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Boston Celtics. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing with his loving wife, Kim and especially loved her cooking.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kim Sang Ye Daley; his daughter, Misuk Seeberger of Albany; his grandson, Thomas Michael Seeberger; his brother, Peter J. Daley (Ann Bessette) of Cohoes; and by his nieces, Erin J. Daley and Elaine J. Decenzo. He is also survived by his 2 “grand-dogs.”
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. Interment will follow with military honors at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Masks will be required and social distancing and occupancy regulations observed.
