Obituary for Ronald J. Partak
CLIFTON PARK Ronald J. Partak, 80, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Schenectady Center for Nursing & Rehab.
Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Bohdan and Catherine Yanchunis Partak. Ron was a proud veteran of the US Navy having served honorably on the USS Mauna Loa. He worked for 28 years as a driver for Peerless Importers.
Ron was a 60-year member of the Mechanicville Elks Lodge 1403 and also belonged to the American Legion Post 490 in Stillwater. He enjoyed traveling with his wife especially on cruises as well as taking trips to the casino.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margo Peacock Partak; by his beloved children, Lisa M. Giles (Michael) of Highland Mills, Megan A. Lynch (Matthew) of Hillsdale, NJ and Christopher Partak of Latham; by his adored grandchildren, Parker and Cooper Giles and Cameron Lynch; by his brother, Robert J. Partak (Judith) of Halfmoon; by his brother-in-law, Charles Peacock (Loretta) of Maryland as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes and at 11:30 a.m. in All Saints on the Hudson (St. Peter’s Church) in Stillwater. Interment will follow with military honors in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
